Dave at mic 134x200Hi my name is David R. Storms and I currently work as a software developer for a firm in Ontario, Canada. I am also part owner in the creative arts company SpectrumDog that was created to publish the graphic novel The Uncoded.

This site is intended to be the online presence for me where I can share my thoughts and opinions, interesting links, podcasts, reviews and anything else that comes to mind!

I chose WordPress because its easy setup and management immediately drew me to the amazing open source product. I had originally worked with Drupal and while it was a neat experience, it’s complexity just wasn’t something that I was looking for. Of course as a web developer I could have easily crafted my own site (and in fact SpectrumDog site does mention web site creation!) but I wanted to focus more on content and I wanted a vehicle to easily deliver that, and to do that without reinventing the wheel I decided on a the rock solid reliability of the WordPress content management system.

I love to read and absorb all there is to know about technology. I will share links and write tips on things I’ve learned about computers and software programming as well as share in the amazing pod casts and web sites that I visit often.

A big inspiration for me is tech guru Leo Laporte. I thoroughly enjoy all his pod casts (thanks Twit TV!) and I particularly enjoy The Tech Guy, Security Now! with the security genius Steve Gibson and Windows Weekly with Paul Thurrott. I have linked to these pod casts/sites in the links side bar.

I hope you enjoy your visit to the site and feel free to leave comments where you see fit!

I am also a part-time writer on these fantastic sites:

Jordan’s Useless Babble

iPhoneDocked

I also manage a web hosting / development operation which can be found at

Also, I’m working on something over at www.fictiongroups.com. More on this neat little project as it becomes available!
